Seras Alcaste walked somewhat happily down the street, unknowingly heading towards the dangerous outskirts of the town.
Normally a pleasant town, vampires ruling whereas humans lived out there humanistic lives either in fear or lack thereof.
Walking into a nearby tavern, Seras calmly headed towards the rear and sat at a barstool.
"What can i get you miss?" An oddly friendly voice spoke out. Looking up, Seras met faces with the bartender in his cool vest.
"Um... just some..." Not knowing what exactly it was that would please her, Seras loked baout and quickly saw some red liquer.
"I'll have soem of that red wine over there, please." She said, pointing at a smaller bottle up high on the shelf. It looked fairly aged well, for it hadn't been opened thus far.
"You have a good eye, maam." the bartender spoke, pouring her a glass.
Seras stared down at the red wine, stirring her drink with a coffee straw, occaisionally bobbing the chunk of ice up and about. She felt an uncontrollable urge inside her as she reached in her tight coat adn took out a small clear-plastic bag. Wripping the top section off, she slowly poured it into ther glass, licking her lips as she did so. Not aware at the time that a few men down the bar counter from her were watching her odd maneuver, she sipped from her glass, then greedily chugged it. As she put her glass down along with a small wad of cash, Seras opted to leave. However, she met a pistol to the nose as the bartender spoke angrily.
"Miss, I don't want any trouble, but im afraid im going to have to ask you to leave. Some of the other customers are quite upset."
Seras glanced to her right, as a few larger men had very glaring and evil-eyed looks upon their faces. The vampire felt odd, but quickly and quietly stood up and began walking to the door. She picked up her pace, seeign that the men from the bar seemed to be following not to far behind.
Just as Seras opened the door, a swift thrust to her lower abdomen instantly knocked the wind out of her as she was thrown down on the street. Moments later, after attempting to get herself up, a kick to her side pushed her right back down once again. The confused girl managed to turn over, seeignas she was now surrounded by about 6 larger men, men who seemed very very displeased with her arrival here in their section of Serath city.
Ever since they won back a smaller portion of serath back form the vampire rule, the men and women there took pride in hating the vampire kind. Seras was unaware of all this, but looked at it with such familiarity that it frightened her.
Another kick flipped her body over as she rolled a few feet, but was still surroudned by these angry men. One of them held a billy club, as he struck her with it, nearly breakign a rib or two. Seras let out a faint scream as the pain engulfed her body. She repeatedly tried to crawl away, only to meet the boots and fists of them more and more.
"You damned vampire!"
"Yeah, you think you can come here and make peace with us?"
"How dare you!"
"Stop your squirming Girl! Just die allready!"
Seras squirmed about, takign in blows one after another. Curling up upon the ground, she pleaded as tears drained out of her eyes.
"please... please... im sorry... please..." A faint voice escaped her.
"Burn in hell, vampire"
One of them soon hurled a stone at her, striking her clear in the back.
Seras tried to get free from their pain bringing ways, as usual, but it was too much for her. There were too many to fend off herself, and just one was still too strong willed for her. She spat out blood here and there, as her body also bled from the many wounds now inflicted. The amount of scars would surely increase after this day, thus adding more to her self consciousness. Finally, after what seemed liek a relentless hour or so of beating, the suffering girl was layed to rest as the bartender came out to stop them.
"Hey, that's enough!"
After she lay there for a mere couple of minutes, her cuts and scrapes stopped their bleeding allready and were long since on their way to healing up completely. More scars now acompanied her on her body, but Seras covered them up with her now somewhat torn up jacket and didn't pay any heed. She patted some of the dirt off her leg, and tried to sit up but the pain got the better of her. She fell back upon the road, covered in her own blood and a few bones nearly broken. Seras felt horrid, and imagined what she must have looked like right then, half dead and barely awake. However, being a vampire, she still looked pretty and cute on the outside, behind the dirt caked on her face with blood.
Seras lay there helpless and alone, pain engulfing her. She succomed to her subconsciousness, lying seemingly dead. Everyone in the smaller section of the town came back out of their homes into the streets, resuming their normal lives as if nothing had occured. Some walked right by her dying body, perhaps not even bothering to notice. One stepped on the vampire's arm, startled at the faint scream that was let out of her. However, they all continued on thier way.
